Sorry about the late review but worth waiting for. Celebrated Valentines Evening here and had such a great night. Couldn’t get a table till 9.30pm due to its popularity. But, never fear we were thoroughly entertained by the lads in the kitchen. Watching them working together, having fun and such a great team - whoever is responsible for hiring this lot needs a medal - bloody amazing team. Massive thanks to Alfie, Mido, Josh, Turaj, Freddie and Sied. You excelled at everything you did! I’m sure one of the questions during the interview process was ‘do you have a good sense of humour?’ It clearly shows in their work ethic. Oh, and the food was bloody amazing too. Well, what has been a positive nice experience previously at capri wakefield definitely was not replicated this time and unfortunately has put me off returning. We arrived and was shown to our table as normal with no issues. The waiter came over and took our drinks order, again, no issues. The waiter (younger male with tattoos on hands) then came and took our food order and was joking about what we had ordered (garlic bread with tomato and cheese to share) was a great choice and joked that my partner would want more slices than me as it’s so nice. I also ordered a calzone with no mushrooms for my main and again he joked that’s it’s such a popular order with no mushrooms the restaurant has set up a button dedicated to no mushrooms. Our starter came which was incorrect, it was just cheese and garlic bread with no tomato. Given this was the first order which was wrong it wasn’t too much of an issue and we didn’t complain or mention anything. I would note that it took almost an hour from ordering until we received our starter but again we didn’t complain about this. The main courses came and unfortunately my calzone was incorrect and was packed with muchrooms. At this point I did send this back and advised that our starter was also incorrect. I didn’t want anything for it but to perhaps to highlight 2/2 meals were incorrect. The waiter checked the order which had been put through and the original waiter had put it through wrong (cheesy garlic bread) and calzone (no mention of no mushrooms). I think if he spent less time trying to be funny and bantering and more time just waiting on the table he would benefit more. Whilst we were waiting for our mains another member of staff came and asked us to stand up and move whilst she needed to get to a cupboard for a remote to turn the fire down. Again, on its own not a big thing but coupled with 2/2 meals that were wrong it just adds to the negative experience. Why put a table close to somewhere you need to visit frequently? The food was also average, which is unusual as I was impressed the last time we visited capri Wakefield. All in all a disappointing restaurant and we won’t be returning and I will no longer be recommending this restaurant to family/ friends as I have done previously.

Unbelievable that a party of 5 grown women had to sit at a table for 4 and we had been told that the table for 2 next to us couldn't be added for our comfort as it was your policy_(even though no one was sitting there) Maybe your customer service policy needs to change as you have now lost 5 customers all who have other groups of friends. Never have I been told this before after eating in all your various restaurants

Loved the atmosphere and staff and the bread (with olives ) was fantastic but really disappointed with my main course I ordered lemon sole with prawns in limoncello and butter sauce . I expected a delicate buttery with a hint of lemon what arrived was a waxy yellow gunk that tasted mouldy. It completely over powered the fish. Having said that it wouldn’t put me off going again but I would order the sauce on the side next time.

We came on the 21st December we was a party of 10 and we wanted a nice Christmas meal. First of all there was no atmosphere to say it’s the 21st just before Christmas nothing we have the set menu for £30 per head. The soup tastes like it came out of a tin the turkey and the veg was horrendous. Turkey was as dry as anything and the vegetables Were cold and Rock hard didn’t taste of anything then we asked the waitress could we order our puddings? She said yes I’ll be back Half an hour we waited until we managed to get older. Somebody who could get our order for puddings that went to cock brought two wrong ones back I’ve eaten before this restaurant and always found it okay but I will never come back and then you have the cheek to put £29 service charge on what a joke. I wouldn’t mind the restaurant Wasn’t even full it wasn’t even half full so I don’t know why they can’t cope getting meals out never again

Amazing. The only downside was that there was a large group nearby that was loud, but not really the venues fault.

Lovely restaurant, staff we're very friendly and attentive. Food was really good just not amazing for the cost, could get better in that price range.

Over priced for what you're getting. Lasagna was nice but it wasn't outstanding the steak wasn't worth the money. Staff are all friendly and nice enough but the fancy sign doesn't warrant what you pay for inside.
