We have been here several times and just love the warm and traditional atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the food is excellent. There is also a great selection of drinks. We will no doubt be returning soon.

Unfortunately left disappointed when visiting for a few drinks as had been wanting to visit for a while and heard good things. Felt unwelcomed on arrival and received service that was a bit rude in both instances by the same staff member. Other staff seemed really friendly though which we appreciated.

Fantastic dog freindly pub, staff were great and the food was to die for, wife started with cullen skink then a sirloin steak (medium) I started with the miced fish platter which was gorgeous the tastes were out of this world, then I had a sirloin steak (rare/medium) and it was cooked to perfection and the home make battered onion rings were great, just sorry no room left for thesticky toffee pudding. Next time Chris andLynn burton and dogs Daisy and Honey.

Really liked this place. Food was great. Dog friendly in the public bar. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Bar itself was really well presented, it was very quiet when we went (Thursday night) but still felt very welcoming. Good selection of beers and Orkney ales (if that's your thing!). All in all, and excellent establishment I have no hesitation in recommending.

What luck we had for stumbling upon this adorable tavern on our way through town. We were further blessed with gorgeous weather and opted to sit outside but it was a difficult decision considering the amazing interior. We had the giant roast pork pudding & although it was a lot for us to finish, the sunshine was an encouraging companion.

This was our lunch out -a day trip from Kiltarlity. Very welcoming and attentive service. I had the Cullen Skink and was rewarded with a meal as tasty as I had previously. My partner had the Scotch Beef pie and gave it 5 stars but there is a reason they offer half size-the serving was huge and he couldn’t finish it. The Raspberry White chocolate Crème Caramel was beautiful and creamy. And not too much!

So we came here for the Steak Pies. I was VERY dissapointed. The worst pie I've had in Scotland. The crust was cold, dry and little flavor.

We stopped in for a drink after a walk. The menu looked good, so we decided to have some lunch as well. The food was good and the staff were friendly. They were helpful in getting highchairs for our youngest members of the group and joked with us on a friendly level. Pleasant afternoon all round.

Lamb serving was quite small and unfortunately overcooked. However the pudding appetizer and the sticky toffee were fantastic.
