The Ethnographic Museum Pozzale di Cadore is located in a restored historic building that was once used as a mill and sawmill. It was established in 2007 by the Magnifica Regola di Pozzale and is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of traditional crafts and everyday objects of the region.
Collections and Exhibitions
The museum houses various sections documenting rural life and crafts of past times:
Mill: A functioning mill that was once used to grind corn.
Sawmill: A room illustrating the production of beams for houses and barns.
Old dairy: An area showcasing traditional milk processing.
Additionally, there is the exhibition "Gente di Pozzale", which presents over a hundred black and white photographs documenting the life of the mountain population.
